Turmeric is a rhizome (root) that comes from the plant of the ginger family native to India and is used as a spice in cooking. Curcumin is a component of turmeric that has been most studied for its anti-inflammatory effects.
3 Organic Turmeric Rhizomes Included
Turmeric is one of the easier plants to grow. Just place one rhizome in the soil face up with the nodes facing up about 3-4" in the soil. Plant 4-6" apart in rows 1-1/2 to 2' apart, and cover with 1-2" of fine soil. Plant rhizomes in a warm sunny location with rich, well-drained soil.
Turmeric doesn't survive in weather cooler than 65F.
