Hibiscus (Jamaican Sorrel) Seeds (Organic & Wild Crafted)

Hibiscus sabdariffa

Hibiscus (commonly known as Jamaican Sorrel or Thai Roselle) is a tropical plant, but if started indoors it can be grown successfully in more northern climates.  You want to start your seeds outside around the same time as plants like peppers, tomatoes and eggplants. This is a heat-loving plant, so give it as much of a head start as you can. It takes about 200 days to harvest. They can be susceptible to aphids so make sure you monitor them and use natural organic methods to rid them should you see any aphids.

Jamaican Sorrel can be used to make punches and drinks or commonly used in teas. It has been used in ancient medicine as a diuretic and mild laxative, as well as treating other cardiac diseases.
